Also the dash highly resembles them at a glance. The deck (especially at the bow) lines look, to me at least, like it was popped right off of a Century (of some kind). You guys are blowing my mind saying that boat doesn't at least "look" like some Century models? Wow, I'm learning a lot here! I knew about the Ski Centurions of the, say 80's AND I knew they still made "Centurions" but I figured they still had Ski Centurion too. Hey, and now that I'm looking at it, that stern (on the two older ones) doesn't slant like I mentioned above about, I guess now, newer ones (like this): But with Century, it seems they kept the look and just changed the material at first. It was like, as soon as glass was available, everyone said let's make drastic design changes. I don't notice that any other builder really did that. It does look a lot like several Coronado Cardel pics I found.Įric, not sure I've seen an Arabian with a front bench most I see (looking around at pics - and testing my failing memory) have (or had) two buckets up front and that wrapping bench around back because most were V-drives, although they did make some later ones that were stern drives.Īrabians and Resorters (and maybe some other Century's) are a few models that, when the industry jumped from wood to glass, kept making the new fiberglass boat to look a lot like the old wood one. It even looks a bit like some later fiberglass Resorters, but Resorters where, I think "all" direct drive inboards and this looks like a V-drive. The steering wheel and dash look accurate (at a glance) to Century boats of that era. ![]() If it's not, it's a serious copy (like the Cobalt XV-200 is of the Donzi 16, for example - Gee wonder why that example came to "my" mind first?). I still think it's gotta be a Century just another model. The Arabian had that slanted stern line and this boat's stern is fairly vertical. ![]() Now that I'm looking at it (and comparing some pics I have of Arabians), I'd say it's the difference in the stern that is the best indication it's not an Arabian. So much for being 105% sure! Should have backed that off to 90% and 95% sure.
